Preparing students to safely administer medications
This training program aims to equip Certified Nurse Aides and LVNs with the necessary training and guidance to enable them to administer routine medications to individuals residing in nursing facilities, immediate care facilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities, or assisted living facilities.
In this training program, students will be able to:
- Assist the client with the administration of insulin
- Prepare for the safe administration of medications to clients in assisted-living facilities
- Maintain aseptic conditions
- Understand basic pharmacology
- Follow appropriate procedures for documentation
